Sophie Ndaba, better known as Queen Moroka on the original Generations soap opera, has previously made headlines for not appearing to be in good health. However, the seasoned actress is now being praised for the changes she has undergone in recent years.

The businesswoman and media celebrity reflected on her nearly ten years of living with diabetes on World Diabetes Day, November 14, the previous year.
Ndaba recently discussed the challenges of being body-shamed while combating the lifestyle condition in an interview posted on Itumeleng Sekhu-Pedi’s YouTube channel.
“As a child of God I had a different perspective of what they were doing. Yes I was hurt, I’m human but I just realised that I wish they just knew, I wish they had information, I wish they could get tested themselves,” said Ndaba.
“You had people saying ‘oh she’s dying of Aids, she’s dying of Cancer’ I mean just simple diabetes they couldn’t just say ‘let me Google it and get what’s up with this thing she’s talking about’” said Ndaba in the interview.
The actress expressed her disappointment at how people unfairly judged her from a distance without truly understanding what was wrong with her during the same sit-down.
