Ayanda Bandla is a South African political science graduate and reality television personality who rose to prominence in 2011 as a contestant on the SABC1 reality show One Day Leader. She was born and raised in the south-western townships of Johannesburg. Her date of birth is the 28th of June 1989.

She went to Metropolitan RAUCALL and studied International relations at the University of Pretoria. Ayanda graduated with Bachelor degree in Political Sciences at University of Pretoria.

Career journey
After graduating from the University of Pretoria, she joined etv’s popular breakfast program Sunrise, where her television career was launched in the realm of news and reality. Her role on the show initially began as a sub-editor, but over time it grew to encompass writing, producing, field reporting, anchoring, and recording voice-overs.
She started acting on Generations the Legacy in 2016, portraying a character as Dr Tumelo Mokoena. In 2017, she appeared on Broken Vows as Lerato Motha, the drama series was aired on e.tv. On theater, she acted on a stage drama called The African Mamas in 2018.
In 2020 she appeared in drama series including
A Zulu Christmas as Mirriam Zulu, Vutha as Anelisa Moabe, and Omen as Nokhuthula Dlamini Kgorompi. The year 2021, she got another roles on uBettina Wethu as Lakhe Mtirara and Dinaledi High School as Mathuto Mokoena. Same year 2021 she appeared on Nqobile.
