Zimbabwean singer-songwriter McDonald Sheldon is better known as Qounfuzed. He first gained notoriety in 2011 when he launched the radio smash track Chimbovarega.

Early life and education
McDonald Sheldon was born on the 5th of June 1993 in Harare Zimbabwe. He is the first born in a family of three( 2boys and one girl)He grew up in Warren park Suburb in Harare where he attended his early education.
Career of McDonald Sheldon
Quonfuzed began singing as a toddler thanks to the support of his musically inclined family, who helped him identify and develop his ability. He started off as an Urban Grooves artist and in August 2008, when he was 15 years old recorded his first songs signed with Track Records. In the same year, he gave his first live performance at a school event. He first gained notoriety as a result of his “Chimbovarega” tune, a duet with fellow Zimdancehall sensation Freeman. He issued his debut album, “King of Style,” in 2011.

He was cast in the ZBC TV series Go Chanaiwa Go in 2011 and had a cameo appearance as a performer in one of Simbimbindo’s episodes in 2012. Qounfuzed appeared on the XYZ track from Winky D’s Eureka album in 2023.
Qounfuzed won Zimdancehall Best Artist in Diaspora 2020 after being nominated for Best New Artist in 2013 and Best Video in 2014 at the Zimdancehall Awards. In 2022, Qounfuzed won the Zimbabwe British Entertainment Awards for Best Male Musician of 2021.
Career Controversy
In the middle of his critical and professional success as well as the controversy sparked by some of his songs, Qounfuzed once found himself under police scrutiny after hitting fellow Dancehall star Seh Calaz at a match in Harare in 2013. Once one of his ex-girlfriends’ nude images were exposed, Qounfuzed attacked Seh Calaz; however, Calaz eventually withdrew the accusations after saying there had been a misunderstanding. Seh Calaz, along with his Bhanditi clique, returned to Qounfuzed to exact revenge after dropping the charges because he was dissatisfied with his decision. They used baseball bats and golf clubs, and they also ended up cutting off some of Qounfuzed’s dreadlocks. Following the removal of his dreadlocks by Seh Calaz and his crew, Qounfuzed continued to sing Mativenga, a song that is based on a renown ghetto child who was rude. Qounfuzed built the song on his own personal experiences.
