On the first episode of the third season of the SABC 1 drama series Mtunzini.com, Nolwazi appeared as Zinhle. In the years 2008 and 2009, she played Precious in the drama series A Place Called Home on SABC 1. She played Dimpho Miya in season ten of Soul City on SABC 1 in 2010. In the SABC1 sitcom Single Guys in 2013, she had a recurring role as Kwezi, the harsh, real-world neighbor who can see through the boys’ foolishness. She was cast as Kgomotso on Zabalaza in the same same year, 2013, from May to November. After she left the drama to work on other projects, Nonhle Thema eventually took her place.
In the second and third seasons of The River, she also portrayed Minister Patience Mhion. She was cast in two parts in 2021. Her first role came in January when she was cast as Sibongile Dlomo, a villain in the drama series Mzali Wam, opposite Masasa Mbangeni and Dumisani Mbebe. In this drama, the human trafficking industry is examined. Then, in September 2021, she was cast as Lady M, the wife of Jojo-Joseph Kubeka on Scandal television, along with the new Scandal cast. She made an appearance in the movies Intersections and Otelo Burning.
