When Anathi made the decision to switch history for acting, he was entering grade 11. After that, everything went smoothly.

Career journey in acting
Anathi has performed in at least 20 theater productions before the end of his first year. At this point, he was beginning to communicate his sexuality in a more open and honest manner. The tale of how Anathi on Imbewu came to be known as Lindo is a very peculiar one. While doing her grocery shopping, she noticed an elderly man following her. She continued diverting him since the man kept following from a distance.
But after a protracted chase, she turned around and saw him—Duma Ndlovu in the flesh. Imbewu, Uzalo, Muvhango, and many other South African tales were written by Duma Ndlovu. He was drawn to Anathi, but his prominence at DUT presented a challenge.
Duma then handed him his email and returned to Durban to conduct an imbewu cast audition with him and another Indian female.
