Personal life history of Pastor Mdladla

Buyile Mdladla is a well-known South African actor and presenter who is most known for playing Prince in the third season of the drama series Hard Copy on SABC3 and for anchoring Spirit Sundae on SABC1 for eight seasons.

Mdladla was born in a small community in Kwazulu-Natal, not far from Ladysmith. He was raised on his grandfather’s farm where he helped with agricultural farming and animal management. His date of birth is on the 25th of 1975, age 47 years old (2022).

He is married man with kids, it’s unknown how many children does he have. From his previous relationship there was one child. His ex wife reported that she was being abused by him. This happened in 2010 after she filed for divorce. She explained how she endured the abusive relationship for almost 13 years. The abuse was physically most of the time. Later on he got married to her wife Connie Mdladla. Currently they are still happily married and no complains from the wife about being abused.

In seventh grade, he caught the movie bug. He attended Inkamana high school class of 1992. Then he enrolled in the Wits School of Dramatic Art after matriculation. He received the biggest role of his life during his final year of college, playing American jazz saxophonist Charlie “Yardbird” Parker.

Career journey

He got chosen for the soap opera Generations after being noticed by an agent. Following this, he was chosen to host the SABC1 youth magazine program Electric Workshop.
Also he served as the magazine’s entertainment editor for Drum until February 2002, and from June to August 2002, he served as the quizmaster for the Sports Soccer challenge on television.

He co-hosted Spirit Sundae on SABC 2 and worked as a presenter for the Live Lotto Draw during the same calendar year.
In the SABC1 miniseries Izingane zoBaba, which was a rendition of Shakespeare’s King Lear, he played the title character, Melusi “Mel” Luthuli, a variation of Edmund, from April to May 2008.
He began appearing in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango in 2013 as Tumelo Mojalefa, the youngest son of Phatudi Mojalefa.

In place of the deceased Mncedisi Shabangu, Buyile Mdladla joined Uzalo as Mthambisi Phakathi. On September 22, Buyile Mdladla made his Uzalo debut as the opulent villain Putin (full name: Mthambisi Phakathi). He enters KwaMashu under the false pretense of owning a sizable media company and is described as dangerously charming. He starts an illicit relationship with Gabisile.
