He made his acting debut in 2006 in the first season of the SABC3 drama series The Lab, in which he also starred. He became well-known for his 2006–2007 performance as Oupa Dube in the SABC1 drama series Mzansi. Additionally, he had an appearance in Grace, the tenth Heartlines episode, which aired on all three SABC stations in 2006. He was the Zulu dialogue coach for Tim Robbins’ 2006 motion picture Catch a Fire.
