When did Lungelo Mpangase began acting?
At first, Lungelo wanted to pursue a career as surgeon when she was young. Later she opted to study law. She finished her degree in law but found an interest into acting. Lungelo never thought that one day she will love acting like she do.
“God truly knows our journeys as acting has become something that’s very close to my heart. I really love what I do,” she said.
In 2017 after graduating, she got her first role on Television in drama series Uselwa. Unfortunately the production process wasn’t finished because they misuse the money for the project, allegations of theft and crew were not paid.
Despite having a challenge at first trial. She was lucky and got a leading to act as Khethiwe on eHostela. Khethiwe was a woman who desired to become maskandi star. This was the first breakthrough role she got. Since then the actress didn’t stop to deliver. She continued acting for different drama series such as Themba Lam in 2019. Also she was featured in Idlozi the same year 2019.
In 2020, in the Mzansi Magic drama series Mzali Wami, she played Ntokozoa, a girl who becomes caught in an extensive human trafficking operation involving her biological mother.
In 2022, she played Sambulo’s (Sipho Ndlovu) girlfriend Xoli in the third season of the Showmax melodrama The Wife, making her debut in Episode 2.
