She has appeared in television shows such as Rhythm City, 90 Plein Street, Intersexions, and Home Affairs. In 2011, she appeared as Zamo, the wife of a truck driver who is forced to deal with the painful reality of her husband’s infidelity, illegitimate children, and contracting HIV, in an episode of Intersexions.
In 2013, she starred as Mokgadi in the Mzansi Magic miniseries 2020 Orlando East. The series was later broadcast on Mzansi Wethu.
Molobane also cast a number of actors in the SABC1 drama Skeem Saam.
In 2016, she appeared as Serithi Mojalefa in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango, and the following year she appeared in the SABC1 drama series Ingozi.
In 2017, she landed another recurring role in the SABC 1 drama series “Ingozi.” She also appeared in Showmax’s Omen, which was released on the platform on January 13, 2020. She takes on the role of Chigane. In the 2018 drama series “iKhaya,” Mbatha portrayed ‘Raisibe,’ the first wife of ‘Saint Sesili,’ who leads a double life with two women. Later that year, the series was renewed for a second season.
