Personal life history
Shalate Sekhabi is a South African Actress. She was born on 27 July 2000 in Mafikeng, North West in South Africa. The year 2021 she celebrated her 21st with friends and family. In terms of language, she speaks Setswana and English and her height is 1.50cm. Educationally, she matriculated in 2018 at Crawford College in Pretoria. After matric she applied to study Films and Television in 2019 at the University of the Witswatersrand. Also she is the daughter to Aubrey Sekhabi who is a playwright and director.
Shalate Career journey in acting.
Her interest in acting began when she was only 8 years old. This happened after she joined the music and drama club at school. At the age of Eleven she joined Steele Models. Her actual first role of acting started when she was 14 years old. She acted on two short films namely ‘ A Cup of Sugar which was directed by Xolile Tshabalala and Making a Killing which was directed by Justine Head. Just from then her interest in acting remained intact.
She also appeared in the River season 3, she potrayed a character as Millicent. In 2021 she got an opportunity to become a supporting lead as Shoki on House of Zwide.

Who is Shoki on on House of Zwide?
Shoki whose real name is Kgabang Shalate Sekhabi is acting as a best friend to Onarelona. Onalerona ( Nefisa Mkhabela) is the starring on House of Zwide. Shoki and Ona are best friend but they are not getting along this days. This happened after Shoki stole some clothes on House of Zwide where her best friend Ona is working. Ona who almost lost her job discovered that her friend Shoki was behind the stealing of the missing dresses at House of Zwide. Just from then they don’t get along. The story is still going on we will see if their relationship will survive. Shoki betrayed her friend but she is not showing an remorse to what she did. She is blaming everything on Ona her friend.
