Pule began his career at Kaizer Chiefs. The club decided not to extend his contract when it came up for renewal in 2004 due to his dishonest attitude. He played for SV Mattersburg for eight months until being forced to leave the team after crashing his car while intoxicated.

Pule was fired by SuperSport United in late 2005 for missing numerous workouts. Pule had previously received two referrals to a treatment centre to address his drinking and drug use problems. He was not selected for the South African team to compete in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa as a result of his activities.
