Career journey in acting.
He made his television debut in the 2014 telemovie Nyaope Indaba on Mzansi Magic TV, which aired as a part of the channel’s “Lokshin Bioskop” series. In this tale about a gang of nyaope addicts who come together to smoke, get high, and eventually pass out, Mbasa plays the part of Sibusiso. When one of them is found dead after they awaken, things take a deadly turn.
The following part he performed was Ndumiso in the SABC1 drama series Kowethu, which debuted on October 13, 2014 and starred Thando Thabethe and Atandwa Kani.
In addition, he started playing the recurrent character of Sabelo Malinga in the Mzansi Magic drama series Saints and Sinners, which he portrayed for the entire three seasons from 2014 to 2017.

The opportunity to play Casper in the Mzansi magic adolescent drama series Is’thunzi, which chronicles the antics of four females who identify as Ninjas, called for yet another recurring role.
He first made an appearance in Season 1, Episode 8 (which aired on November 28, 2016), and then he made another appearance in Season 2 the following year.
Also in 2017, Mbasa was cast as Vega in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City. He made his debut on August 10 in a plot line that highlighted sexual assault and gender-based violence. Vega met another guy called Emmanuel who was desperately looking for a job. Vega then given him a job to rob people.
Also Emmanuel introduced his crush Palesa to Vega. This led Palesa being raped by Vega and his friends. His storyline came to an end after he was found guilty of the crime of rape and robbery and sentenced to prison.
In 2018, he got a starring role as Gundane on Mzansi Magic polygamy drama series called iKhaya. The role was reduced to recurring and recast for Season 2, when Siya Sesimani took over. The very same year, he recurrent role of Maximum SABC1 drama series Ingozi, created by Duma Ndlovu.
In 2021, he bagged another starring role as Mpilo Radebe on uBettina Wethu based on the international series Ugly Betty. His character continued until season 2.
