Since he began his professional career in the music industry in 2005, Zano’s path has been nothing short of extraordinary. Meeting the members of SHANA (Shota, Black Coffee, and Demor) in 2004 laid the groundwork for what was to follow.
The pivotal moment occurred when Zano chose to enroll in the former Ochrim School of Music to study popular music with a vocal concentration. Here, he met Shota, who would go on to sign Zano to his label (Shota Music) in 2008. That same year, he also met Demor and Black Coffee.

When Black Coffee asked Zano to collaborate on a song that would be included on DJ Christos and Vinny Da Vinci’s “DJs @Work 4,” it was his first significant musical break. The song “Happiness” became a well-known underground deep house hit that made anyone who dared listen to it feel something. The late Lebo Mathosa was one of the influential people in the music industry who took notice of this song. After that, Zano spent almost three years working as a vocal arranger, songwriter, and backing vocalist with Lebo Mathosa.
