Sarafina actors: Where are they now?
The cast of Sarafina featured mostly young people at that time when it was aired. These young people had grown up and some of them are mothers and fathers. The first character to check is the one of Leleti Khumalo who played Sarafina on the drama series.
Leleti Khumalo.
Leleti Khumalo played the starring role on Sarafina potraying a character as Sarafina. The drama series was her biggest breakthrough into the entertainment industry. Although she appeared in different drama series and films, currently she acting on Imbewu (seed).
Khumalo just began her role as co-executive producer of Imbewu: The Seed. She also stars as MaZulu, the matriarch in the popular e.tv daily drama.

Sindi Dlathu
Sindi Dlathu is currently causing a stir in The River following her stint on Muvhango. On Muvhango she was known as Thandaza.
Baby Cele
Baby Cele, who has starred in Backstage, Zabalaza, and Isidingo, leads the cast on Uzalo.

Dieketseng Mnisi
Dieketseng Mnisi, who sings the Lord’s Prayer in the movie, is having a great time playing MaNtuli in Skeem Saam.
Aside from Skeem Saam Mnisi has starred in Yizo Yizo, Zone 14, Rhythm City and Stokvel.
John Kani
Kani acted as a school principal in the film and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He has acted both locally and international. A very respected man in the entertainment industry.
Somizi Mhlongo
Mhlongo rose to prominence with his outstanding performance as Fire. Currently he doing his own show called ‘Downtime with Somizi’. He has been working on Idols SA for sometime but was stopped after allegations of violence towards his partner.

Dumisani Dlamini
He is glad that he is big star because of Sarafina today. After Sarafina he acted on Isibaya, Hostel Season 2, Muvhango and Yizo Yizo.
