Nambitha Mpulwana is an actress best known for acting in old Generations as Mawande. The former Generations actress, Nambitha Mpulwana, was arrested for stealing lipstick.
How did Nambitha Mpulwana steal the lipstick?
According to SundayWorld, Nambitha Mpulwana was at Ferndale Mall when she entered into Dischem. It’s unknown what her intention was, but we guess she was doing window shopping. When she was getting out of Dischem, the security at the door found her with lipstick that cost R160.(1)
Nambitha was taken to the manager, who called the police to arrest her. The police officer came and arrested her.

When the police arrived at Dischem, Nambitha told them that she didn’t want to shoplift the lipstick, but it was a misunderstanding. According to the story, she didn’t explain why they misunderstood her. Which gave the police officer no choice but to arrest her. She insisted that she would explain what happened in court because she was already under arrest.

Also, it’s unknown if she was nabbed with lipstick in her bag or holding it in her hand when going out of the store. When she was approached by a journalist, this is what she said:
“It was just a misunderstanding. But send me what you want to know in writing so management can respond,” she said.
So instead of Nambitha paying for the lipstick. The management of Dischem decided to let her plead her case in court. She was arrested and was charged with shoplifting.
Nambitha was released on bail and appeared in court in Randburg Magistrate Court. The case was postponed to May 2nd, 2025.
What a coincidence of Generations actresses accused of stealing. A long time ago, a former actress from Generations, Akhona, was arrested for shoplifting. Despite being famous, we all need to know there is character behind which we know nothing about.
