Her journey in acting career

Her career began in 2015, when she appeared on Scandal for the first time. She did, however, act in theatre plays and educate herself in the arts before then. Blink, directed by Rethabile Headbush, and Tshepo Matlala, produced by Khanyi Carol, are two of the stage pieces in which she has featured and played. Eclipsed: Phifalo ya Ngwedi, directed by Sylvaine Strike and inspired by the catastrophe at Life Esidimeni, was her other theatre piece.

Khanyisile acquired the character of Gontse, which had previously been played by Gabisile Tshabalala, when she joined Scandal in 2015. When asked about replacing Gabisile, she stated that it was difficult to replace the shoes of someone else.

“It’s difficult to play a role that’s already well-established, because of the audience’s existing relationship with the previous actress,’ said Khanyi Zwane.

She participated in various short films and dramas after making news on Scandal with Andile Sithole as her spouse Ndumiso and Marjorie Langa (Gloria Legae) as her mother. Tshepo Boshielo’s web series, Men Are Trash, featured her. Men Are Trash received a number of nominations and awards, including the Independent Shorts Award for Best Web Series/TV Pilot.
