Mam Rebs on the Black Door real name is Linda Sebezo. She is South African Actress, Dancer, Singer and Director. Her date of birth is on 11th November 1964, age 57 years old. Born and raised from Rockville in Soweto, South Africa. She had 20 cousins at their house, although they didn’t have much, they were happy together.

Her Career journey into acting

She started acting at a young age, she used to act while her father was watching. Hrr interest for acting developed later, at first she wanted to be a nurse. The inpiration to become a nurse was from her family members who were also nurses. Due to the apartheid era, she never thought that one day she will become a singer or actress. During apartheid they were no acting or musical school.

In 1980, she started acting with Gibson Kente production. Gibson was a play writer and Composer. In 1979, Linda was hiking with friends then bumped into Gibson. She revealed to Gibson her dream of becoming an Actress. After that Gibson invited her in Dube Soweto where his studio was located. She went to Gibson’s studio and there she met the legendary singer Brenda Fassie. Brenda Fassie was also a student at that time. She also worked together with Brenda Fassie in a play called Hungry Spoon.

She is well known for her part in the SABC1 sitcom Gauteng Maboneng as Koko, the senile grandmother who reared Lebo (Mahlubi Kraai).

She directed The Call and Mfowethu, two of Gibson Kente’s plays, in 2009. She’s also worked as an adjudicator and mentor for young artists aspiring to be professional dancers, singers, and actors.

In 2010, she also appeared as Nondumiso in the e.tv drama series eKasi: Our Stories’ episode “Mkhuseli.” In 2012, she returned to eKasi in the role of Mrs Letoaba in the episode “Inheritance,” in which she played Mrs Letoaba for the second time.

She played Ma Josephine Rannko in the Mzansi Magic sitcom Samsokolo in 2013 and guest featured in an episode of the SABC1 docu-drama Ngempela the following year. She also had a leading role in the SABC1 drama series Sticks and Stones in 2014.

She had a leading role in the SABC1 sitcom Rented Family in 2017 as Sis Dina, an ex-beauty queen who lives on her previous triumphs.

The legendary actress previously owned a home in Cleveland, Johannesburg, which she sold in 2008 after being arrested for allegedly possessing an R5 million Mandrax. She spent three months in Sun City Prison. She taught her cellmates singing, dance, and acting while in prison. She had to move into a one-bedroom house after her release because she didn’t have a job, which wasn’t a big concern to her because she came from a poor family.
