Othembele Nomgca was born in a small town called Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape and he then moved Kokstad. He was born on the 20th of March 2001, age 21 years old as of 2022.
Educational background
He went to school in Kokstad and was introduced to sports like rugby and opera music there. He continued to use both of these skills throughout high school and became immersed in art through music.
Nomgca matriculated at Mount Currie S.S.S. in 2017 at the age of 16 and went on to Durban University of Technology to study Drama and Production Studies. He completed his diploma in 2020 and received his diploma in 2021.

Career journey in acting
While still studying acting, he became involved in shows at the Courtyard Theatre, the most well-known of which was a Zulu production called USIZA (2019).
He’s a high-energy performer and director who’s used to working on high-demand sets like stained-glass performances. He got experience in front of the camera after landing a role as Bongz on Uzalo, and he has a lot of stage experience based on the number of shows he has done, such as IWISA in Johannesburg at the pop art theatre and his drama school experience. In his directing career, “Directing Double You” will be his third production.
