Career journey
His career began when he was still young. At the age of 16, he was crowned Mr Titchfield. This was the beginning of his career as a model. He went to New York for his first gig as a model and came to model in South Africa as well. Additionally, Stevel also modelled in Asia, Europe, North America and Africa. After being in different countries he chose to stay in South Africa. In South Africa he signed to Ice Model Management. Commercially, he became part of brands as Revlon (featuring Halle Berry and Eva Mendes), Coca Cola, KFC, Nescafé, Standard Bank, Nashua Mobile and the South African Broadcasting Corporation.
With clients like Samsung Mobile, Budweiser, Malibu Caribbean Rum, Toyota, Highveld Stereo, Pigg’s Peak Casino, Foundry Premium Cider, Spar, Pick ‘n Pay, Standard Bank, Student radio, Exclusive Books, and The South African Tourism Board, he also works as a voice actor.
Stevel first breakthrough in film was in Of Good Report. He appeared in several films such as The Challenger Disaster, OutPost 37, Dear Betty, My Zulu Promise, Donor, The King’s Rook, Anything for Wifey, Trinity, Hometown, Adaption, Happiness Is a Four-letter Word, Hell Trip, Broken Darkness, Body Defenders and Last Sacrament.
Also he acted as guest in drama series which includes The Triangle, Generations, My Super-Overactive Imagination, Hooten & the Lady and Black Sails.
He costarred with Renate Stuurman, Keke Mphuthi, Thembisa Mdoda, Nyaniso Dzedze, and Fezile Makhanya in the 1Magic drama series Unmarried in 2018 as the charming but conceited player Vuyo.
He got another role to act on uBettina Wethu Season 1 and 2 where he portrays a character as Oba.
