Wayne Van Rooyen is South African Actor known for acting on Scandal as Stokkies. He was born 14 June 1978 in Eldoradopark, South Africa. Saint Barnabas is the college that he attended from 1991-1997. After he went to study at University of Witswatersrand where he obtained his qualifications in BA Honours in Dramatic Arts. The graduation took place in 2003.
He was raised by his mother and grandmother and he is the only child. As a young boy, he was shy but despite that he used to perform for his family. His talent as a actor was visible from a young age. Although he was shy he used to sing and practice karate. That way, he knew he had a bright future.

He rose to prominence in 2008 for his part as Brandon “BB” Bonthuys on the SABC2 medical drama series Hillside.
In 2011, he participated in the SABC2 variety show Colour TV, and in 2013, he starred in the drama series Geraamtes in die Kas.
Wayne’s significant appearances include Jozi, for which he received a supporting part on Mad Buddies in 2012. As a result of this, he is cast as Rudy in Geraamtes in die Kas and as Wesley in Inconcievable. He made a cameo appearance on Sink in 2016, and his role on Scandal! is one of Mzansi’s favorites.
Wayne also participated in theatre production such as Sophiatown, The King of Laughter (Naledi Award) , Victory
and The Tempest. He won Naledi award for theatre drama ‘ The King of Laughter ‘as the best supporting role.
